Set amidst stunning mountain and jungle terrains, Mae Rim Garden Villa B is a palatial den of tranquility for the more discerning traveller. The area of Mae Rim is famous for its tourist attractions and only a 20-minute drive from Chiang Mai city center.
With a large lotus pond that travels between the properties two villas, it’s in Garden Villa B where you have a spectacular view of the rice fields and mountains in the distance. Within the villa are two separate suites, Rice Paddy Suite and Rose Suite, located upstairs and a guest bedroom and separated living room, kitchen, and office on the open-air layout ground floor. Although Garden Villas A and B have contrasting themes, the structure of both villas are quite comparable. Both villas share the same open plan design with a courtyard upstairs separating the two suites and an outdoor lounge, located downstairs, for overlooking the beautiful lotus pond.
This Chiang Mai villa rental is a comfortable fit for up to seven guests with plenty of space indoors and outdoors. Including a modern décor and magnificent views of the rice fields, mountains, garden, and pond this villa is more than a holiday home; it’s an experience.
Location:
Mae Rim Garden Villa B is situated 12km from Chiang Mai city center is where many restaurants, markets and bars are abundant. And the best thing about the location is you can then retreat to your den of tranquility once again.
Just 1.5km from the villa in Mae Rim, you can find popular activities such as Chiang Mai X-Center where you can enjoy some adrenalin filled fun such as bungee jumping, off-road buggies and go-karting. A few more attractions in Mae Rim include the Chiang Mai Monkey Center, Orchid Garden and the Mae Sa Snake Farm. The Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens and Maesa Elephant camp are also nearby.
If you enjoy a spot of golf or need to do some shopping, an 18-hole course and shopping centers such as Makro are just a 10-minute drive.
Accommodation
Bedrooms:
Located upstairs to the right of the courtyard is the Rice Paddy Suite with a King-size bed, built-in rust colored desk with gold etchings, polished hardwood floors, four large windows with views of the tropical garden, and an ensuite bathroom. Included in this bright room is a lounge area with a cream couch on a white iron frame, black shag rug, and small circular table. As the largest room in the villa the Rice Paddy Suite has a large terrace provided with a small table for two and an outdoor couch to relax on while you overlook the nearby rice fields. Across from the Rice Paddy Suite is the Rose Suite which features a small kitchenette in the entrance and door that leads to the bedroom space. Inside the bedroom is a King-size bed, matching end tables with lamps, large wardrobe closet, ensuite bathroom, hardwood floors, desk/vanity, and a small lounge area with two matching chairs and a small circular table on a cream shag rug. Lastly, there is a small guest bedroom on the ground floor with a King-size bed, ensuite bathroom, and same layout as the two suites.
Bathroom:
All four bathrooms are provided with a wash basin, toilet, natural body and hair products, hamper, and separate large showers. Despite the fact that all four bathrooms have similarities, they also each have their own unique additions. In the Rice Paddy Suite the bathroom comes equipped with a closet space for your belongings and a shower with an A-frame roof and slits to catch views of the sky and let the shine through. However, in the Rose Suite the ensuite bathroom is a smaller, but has separate outdoor shower with brown tile walls and sage tile floors. It’s a spacious, wonderful shower and with no roof you can easily see the stars at night and bright sun in the mornings. Meanwhile the living room’s ensuite bathroom has an open plan with no door separating the shower and bathroom. Inside the shower is an organic design with tan concrete from walls to floor, rain shower head, and sliding glass door that looks out to small enclosed patio space filled with rocks and small trees.
Dining room :
Technically this villa has two dining rooms; however, one is located outside and the other is adjoined with the living room. Inside the living room is a small dining space with a circular glass top table that seats four people. This dining room is very casual and most likely used for extra seating while in the living room watching TV or reading a book or magazine. Outside is the same communal dining table as in Garden Villa 1 and overlooks the pond. If extra space or seating is required there is an outdoor couch and two matching chairs provided.
Kitchen:
Located separately near the living room and office this Western style kitchen is available for guest and staff use. Typically the kitchen is used by staff for short-term guest; however, if you plan on staying long-term you may feel free to use the space as needed. The kitchen has generous countertop and cabinet space and is fully equipped with two dual sinks, large refrigerator, oven and stovetop, water boiler, toaster, flatware, cookware, dishware, and assortment of glasses. Although the suites do not provide fully functional kitchens they both provide water boilers for coffee/tea and mini fridge and the Rose Suite has a mini kitchen with small sink and counter space.
Living rooms:
The living room is modern, yet comfortable and is considered a common area as it used for all guests since each suite provide no lounge space. Located on the ground floor across from the office this living room comes furnished with a velour grey L-shape sofa and colorful decorative pillows, brown shag run, concrete/granite coffee table, built-in closet, and armoire. The living room is designed with bright white walls and rusty-red teak wood columns with gold etchings of traditional Thai images. As an extra bonus this room has sliding glass doors that lead you to a small patio with lounge chair overlooking the rice fields and an ensuite bathroom with shower. When it’s time for a bit of relaxation the room provides a large flat screen television, international satellite channels, DVD player, and DVDs on request.
