Only word I have for the complete service when we stayed at Villa Apsana is 'Perfect'!
The house itself was beautiful, peaceful and a great design. We all had an excellent holiday if it was not for the rain. The maid was also lovely and helped us as much as she could.
I would give it a 10/10.
One of the great delights of Thailand are its markets, probably more popular than the beaches for the Thais at least. Some are all day but the best and most exciting are the night markets which can extend for many hundreds of metres selling everything imaginable from Thai Silks to motor cycles, soup to puppies enough clothes to keep you going for centuries with shoes to match all at unbelievable prices but please check.
Choose our goods very carefully as you will never get a refund if you find out your goodies are defective once back at your hotel or Villa. Jomtien and Pattaya are a shoppers Paradise so travel here very light giving you plenty of space to get back home, overweight suitcases are charged for by the Kilo on most airlines and will cost you a packet.
Between spells of shopping and sunbathing of course food has to be taken into consideration, naturally eateries are in abundance and restaurants can be found every few meters along the Pattaya and Jomtien beach roads serving delicacies of every nationality including all the small Soi’s and main roads that surround them.
As you may be aware Thailand’s stable diet is rice, fish and vegetables they are not a great nation of meat eaters, probably why most of them are so slim with brilliant white smiling teeth. Those staying with Thailand Holiday homes at Viewpoint, Jomtien Beach, you have a full range of cooking facilities in all Villas so for those that enjoy fresh fish then the fish market at Naklua, North Pattaya is a must.
Starting with the nights catch very early in the morning many of the fish are still breathing if you get there early enough, massive prawns like you have never seen
at 200 baht a kilo, shellfish a fish lovers paradise. In addition you can buy all your fresh vegetables and meat if required slaughtered just before arrival you can not buy any where fresher for sure. If you have trouble getting out of bed and arrive around lunch time there will be little left, travelling back home disappointed.
How to get there from Viewpoint turn left onto Sukhumvit road travelling towards
Bangkok, after about a 15 minute drive you will stop at a set of traffic lights signposted left to Naglua, turn left down the slip-road along Naglua road you will come to a ‘T’ junction turn right after about 200 metres the car park for the fish market is on your left. Parking fees 10 baht, next to Naklua Beach.
After an exhausting bout of shopping try the BBQ pork sticks and some iced coffee
“Wonderful” then a swift retreat to get that mouth watering feast into the ice box.
