As I was the "old lady " of the party I was happy to be sitting on the shady patio with a view which was a lush green mountain - - - -which seemed privately ours ! So peaceful and comfortable in all accomodation.
The beautiful grounds and magnificently crafted wooden
House or perhaps Mansion, with many artisticly hewn seats and tables. It was an easy and delightful trip from the airportwith the car at our disposal and many interesting sights within easy reach. The staff looked after us well and our thanks go to Noel Hunt for his arrangements.

For our guests staying at Lanna House ‘Highlands’ couldn’t be better placed with the rear bedrooms facing towards the 17th hole, Highlands is set in the foot hills just 25 minutes drive from down town Chiang Mai on highway 1317, designed by Lee Schmidt of Schmidt-Curley Design offering the distraction of magnificent views from every hole in particular the 13th and the 17th where you can view the entire Valley.
The course design is exciting and challenging for players at any level with a choice of 5 Tee off locations, choosing the signature hole was extremely difficult with such an array of choices but eventually the designer recommended the par 5 from the 18th giving spectacular views all the way to the clubhouse.
There are also superbly maintained practice facilities with several practice greens, a short game area and a 300yard driving range with a Passpallum grass tee.
Project size about 700 Rai with the course at 450 Rai, course length 7000 yards.
After a long hard round you can relax in the Aroma Spa or take a relaxing cool beerin the clubhouse, restaurant facilities are also available and I’m told are excellent.
