This is a lovely house situated in a wonderful position right on the coast with breathtaking views of the sea from its balconies. The house has its living area on the upper floor and bedrooms on the lower floor. The Moorings is a fabulous small complex which shares the use of a large well maintained swimming pool surrounded by coconut palms, bougeanvillea and frangipani trees. We loved being able to walk from the house directly to the beach.
The holiday we had here was very much sea oriented. We ate and drank at e cafes on the beach (one of which has bar stools in the sea!) and explored the coast by water whichever way we could. We hired kayaks from the café and a motorboat from a local who took us out for the day to nearby islands where we could snorkel in fabulous clear water. We were also closer to Phuket city (overlooked by tourists) which we found fascinating and ate at some superb French /Thai fusion restaurants. The Moorings has a great deal to offer any sea lover and is very peaceful!

Location
Great sea views plus walking distance to Koh Lanta’s best beach…you cant get more convenient than that! The beach at Ba Kantiang has pure white sands and crystal blue water. Its only about 600m away from your villa, and the management provide a free shuttle down there if you don’t feel like walking. Down there you’ll find enough restaurants and bars to keep you busy for weeks!
For a bit of adventure, rent a scooter or a car and head further south (around 15km) to the protected National Park area, which has superb scenery, and 2 more untouched beaches. Or you could drive north around 10km to Klong Nin - a stylish, boutique beach road with great restaurants and shops.
There’s 24 hour security at Baan Deang, and you can ask anything at all of the reception staff – they are only too happy to please! If you feel like elephant trekking, diving, snorkeling, kayaking or anything else they provide information and booking service – you’ll even get picked up and dropped off at your door.
All tours and excursions can be booked here, with the pick up and drop off right outside your door.
Accommodation
Bedrooms:
Comfortable queen size beds adorn the two bedrooms in Bann Daeng. There is air conditioning, but the sea breeze is so refreshing up here you could just sleep with an open window. The beds face the ocean, so when you wake up you’ve got just the perfect view.
Bathroom:
Both bathrooms are ensuite with high quality fittings and hot water. They’ve also got open air showers with a sea view!
Dining room :
Dining with a difference! Morning, afternoon, evening or night time, dining outside on the huge sea view terrace is a pleasure. There is a large table with seating for up to 8 people…every one of your group can enjoy panoramic views of the lovely Ba Kantiang Bay and the Andaman ocean.
Kitchen:
With large granite worktops and a whole range of modern appliances (fridge freezer, gas hob, oven, microwave) you can make a snack or meal in style while admiring the garden view on one side, and the sea view on the other.
Living rooms:
The living area is a great place to relax or have a nap. The sofa is amazingly soft, and you’ve also got access to a huge range of channels on the plasma TV. This TV is also connected to the internet so you can surf without leaving the sofa! If you’ve got more than 4 people in your group, the living space can fit 2 extra beds, so you can comfortable fit a party of 6 in Baan Daeng.
