Nestled in the hillside above the stunning Ba Kantiang Bay in the south of Koh Lanta, Baan Ruang is designed in classic Thai style architecture but with modern, western comforts. It’s extremely convenient, being only a short walk to restaurants, bars and other amenities of Ba Kantiang village.
It’s all about the view here – great views from every room, with the highlight being 180 degree unbroken sun and sea views from the terrace and swimming pool. The generously sized pool is set in a tropical garden, and from every angle you can see the ocean.
Location
Only 600m (a short walk) down to the famous Ba Kantiang beach (voted one of Asia’s top 10 beaches on TripAdvisor) and close to all the restaurants, bars and massage on the beach, you can’t really beat Bann Ruang for a great location. Everything is within walking distance, and the villa management even provides a free shuttle to the beach! Further south of Ba Kantiang is the lush, green, tropical National Park Area. Around 10km north is Klong Nin beach.
The reception staff and security will see to your every need, even ordering and collecting food from nearby restaurants so you can have the luxury of eating at home without cooking!
All tours and excursions can be booked here, with the pick-up and drop off right outside your door.
Accommodation
Bedrooms:
The two large air conditioned bedrooms both have queen size beds and ensuite bathrooms. In both bedrooms the beds are facing the ocean for that perfect view when you wake up in the morning. You can sleep with the large windows open and get a refreshing sea breeze.
Bathroom:
There are 2 bathrooms in this villa – both ensuite and with open air showers.
Dining room :
One of the highlights of Baan Ruang is the 78sqm sea-view terrace – this is where the dining table is – undercover so you can eat your lunch protected from the heat of the day. The large wooden table seats 8, so you can even have friends round for a sunset cocktail before dinner!
Kitchen:
The spacious kitchen has a great view of the garden on one side, and the ocean on the other. Fully equipped with modern western appliances (gas hob, oven, fridge freezer, microwave and more), you’ve got all you need to make the perfect meal. There is also coffee maker, blender, juicer and other implements to make the preparation of breakfast, lunch or dinner a real pleasure!
Living rooms:
The comfortable sofa is big enough for the whole group to lounge on comfortably and watch one of the 50 channels on the large TV. The TV is also connected to the internet for luxury surfing. This area has space to fit 2 extra beds bringing the total possible amount of people this villa accommodates to 6.
