Availability Calendar
With classic Thai architecture, Baan Som is a sight to behold, perched on a tropical hillside on Koh Lanta. The villa is luxuriously furnished with a mixture of Thai and western style, and all the modern comforts you would expect. As if this wasn’t enough, you also get some amazing sea-views across Ba Kantiang bay, famous for its award winning beach. You can also see the sun settgin over the islands of Koh Phi Phi from your terrce.
If you need to cool off, but too lazy to go to the beach, there is a large swimming pool and plenty of poolside sun loungers with umbrellas for shade.
Location
In the south of Koh Lanta is Ba Kantiang Bay. On a quiet hillside here you’ll find Baan Som. Its only 600m walk to the famous Ba Kantiang beach (or 2 minutes in the free beach shuttle provided by the management). Down in the bay you’ll also find enough restaurants, bars and other facilities to cater to your every need.
If you’re a nature lover you may want to head south to the end of the island and visit the Mu Koh Lanta National Park area with its beautiful rainforest and viewpoints. Closer to Baan Som (around 3km) is Koh Lanta’s waterfall with nature trail, caves and elephant trekking all available.
If you need to rent a scooter, car or anything else, contact the friendly reception staff who will organize anything you need from booking day tours or onward tickets to ordering and delivering take away food to your door.
Accommodation
Bedrooms:
If you’ve never woken up to a perfect sea view, then you need to spend some time at Baan Som! Both double bedrooms have queen size beds which face the ocean so when you wake up you can enjoy the ocean view. Both rooms are air conditioned, but the sea breeze is so refreshing here, you may just sleep with the windows open.
Bathroom:
The two ensuite bathrooms in Baan Som have one wall open to the outside – when you shower you can see the stunning Ba Kantiang bay below.
Dining room :
Eat your meals with a cool sea breeze on the 78sqm sea view balcony. This area is the perfect place for a meal, and the dining area seats 8 people. Drink your morning coffee here watching the fishing boats going out to sea, or sip on a cocktail as you watch the sun set over the distant islands.
Kitchen:
The kitchen has everything you need – its like you’re making a meal at home. Western standard oven, gas hob, fridge freezer and microwave are provided, plus all pots, pans and other utensils you might need. You also have a nice view from both kitchen windows – one of the garden and one of the Ocean.
Living rooms:
If you feel like just lounging around, the comfortable sofa has enough room for the whole family. Enjoy surfing the internet using the large flat screen TV, or watch a movie on the DVD player. You can also play your favorite songs on the high quality stereo system provided for your entertainment. Space for extra beds in this area means your group can be a big as 6.
