Thai Baht bounces back for UK visitors!
After a frustrating year for UK tourists I believe we are looking at a great bounce back in exchange rates.
From a low of THB 47 to 1 GBP we can see rates today achieving THB 52.20 to 1 GBP
Whilst still far from reaching the great heights of THB 75 to 1 GBP in 2003/4 it is good news to see this near 18% upward increase.
A recent note arrived on my desk from the UK stating:
The pound certainly is moving in the right direction. Also, the news reports over here are starting to speak of 'end of recession', 'housing market improvements' and the like. Let's see how long they continue in the same vein. If this is the case, then we should see further improvements. I still think it'll go towards 60 soon enough - the pound is far too low against the Euro so I think that's where the room for improvement exists.
It’s a great time to be taking a holiday in Thailand now, reduced air fares, low Thailand costs and great savings on self catering Villas from around GBP 22.00 per person per night inclusive of a car, maid service and utility charges – this often can not be achieved
Even at home?
Come and enjoy “Amazing Thailand” the beaches, Elephant Safari’s, cheap shopping and a big beaming smile where ever you go!A great place for all the family and single groups alike!
A better country – a more friendly people? – a greater culture – I doubt it?
