Families and water-lovers are in for a special treat with the opening of the new Splash Jungle at the West Sands Residences & Resort at Mai Khao.

This is a state of the art facility and the first of its kind on the island, brought to you by White Water Industries, who are universally recognized for constructing similar projects in America at Disneyworld and Sea World, alongside 4,000 other creations to their name.

The 22,400 square metre Splash Jungle complex provides visitors with two high-octane water slides aptly named ‘The Super Bowl’ and ‘The Boomerang’.

You can also take advantage of the stunning water ride named ‘Lazy River’, which is a 335-metre long adventure ride that crawls through several themed sections that include the North Pole, Africa, Turkey, North America, Northern Europe and Inca-Maya. This is a unique attraction to Phuket that is sure to be a big hit with visitors.

The park contains 6 million litres of water and cost half a billion baht to design and construct. Over the past five years, Phuket has cast off the reputation of being a destination for single men and partygoers, and is now becoming a Mecca for families and couples.

The change in demographics is a big plus for the island. With family activities such as the Phuket Stunt Show in Chalong, Phuket Fantasea in Kamala, and now Splash Jungle in Mai Khao, the island is showing a new side to its character.
